Needs confirmation on alternator issue
This is an issue concerning a 92 honda accord coupe lx, while I was driving down the highway two days ago, the car just literally die on me. After several unsuccessful attempts of cranking and jump starting the car, I'm finally going to take the car to a shop and have it check upon. My first instinct is the alternator because the car cranks when I try to start it but it just won't turn over, can I have some confirmation on that or is it something else (The car had a history of not wanting to start in winter). Also can somebody give me an estimate of how much before I bring it in. Thanks a ton, guys.
When the Alt. goes bad there will be a "battery" symbol that lights up on the cluster.
When the car died was there any lights on the cluster?
I would check the ignition switch and secondary ignition parts.
