yeh, thats 1st good vid that i saw when it was released, that shows why i wouldnt buy the mugen , the oem modulo is basically same performance wise
only oem modulo parts offered to enhance performance are slotted discs, uprated pad and adjustable shocks and stiffer springs, all the rest is cosmetics/convenience like the nasty stickers on car which are an oem part you can buy

I was reviewing this car on "Japan Partners" website, the price on the website was $74,900 USD. OUCH

Nice vid, kudos for the post.
I wouldnt be one to buy the RR though, too much $$. Not when I could build an ef, eg, ek, dc, etc that would out perform it at half the cost...
Granted, though, it IS a Mugen....just too pricey

Sick video. If you go to the factory honda website and do the currency exchange they are only around 25,000$ USD for base model R. Problem is that that the Japan market charges almost that in tax as well
*read fine print*
I have friends in Guam right now that are keeping there eyes open for a standard Civic R that they will purchase if i arrange shipping
Also have two buddies getting stationed in Japan that i told them if they forfeit me there one right to ship over a Civic R i will give them personally cash compensation. Most over there like the fact you can import one car on the gov. expense. Just gotta find someone not into jap cars
haha

when i was at nurburgring last year there was group of uk lads stationed near there and had similar options to bring car back to uk with them (price in germany is much cheaper than u.k so lot of money saved)
they said that some people would buy several cars over a year, bring them back and sell them for nice profit, due to this restrictions were then put on how many could be purchased per year and brought back
as for the fd2 in that video on the show, it was imported by showroom not far from me and purhased by someone in same city, havnt seen it myself though and not sure its still around here
