1991 SI 2.1 stock b21a1

i've searched but nothing of any help came up

when i start my car cold, the idle will bounce between 2k and 1k

after a few seconds the car will just bog out

it will keep doing so until the car is warmed up to operating temp.

i am at a loss as to what it might be

if anyone could help me out with some input, it would be most appreciated.

2.1l aren't my specialty necessarily, but it sounds like iacv problem, or temp sensor, or vacuum leak. probably temp sensor or thermo valve, just by your symptoms alone. worth checking. i've also seen corroded wires @ cts which will make these motors surge, but i'd check thermo valve first imo
