My EG....drag car or street car? which way should i go?
So ive been working on this car for about 6 months and our track finaly opened up. And up to this point its been just a fast street car. But friday it went to the dyno and put down 357hp at 12psi and did an 11.5@127. Do i lean it more towards a drag car or keep it a clean street car? need your guys opinions. I didnt expect the car to go this fast and now im really hooked. But i dont wanna lose the street ability. But i really want a solid 10 second street car...is that asking too much?

it's up to you if you have another car lined up to drive around while the hatch becomes a track queen.
How's the no A/C and no power steering working out?
Only reason why I would say go for all track is so you can ride comfy in something else but if you're content with it on the street, why not?

Ive got my daily 93 accord with all the good daily stuff. I guess i have to keep it somewhat streetable to drive to the track since i cant afford a truck and trailer.

I say turn it into a street/strip car. I've seen a couple guys daily drive their low 10 sec SFWD cars on the street, and the weekends they tear it up on the track. I hope your planning to upgrade that manifold/wastegate right?
Good Luck

the manifold is holding up good and making good power. But yes, the wastegate is being upgraded to a Tial 44mm gate.

lol what a funny question.
1. do you have another car if you decide to dedicate this one to the drag strip?
2. do you have lots of money?
3. who cares anyways.

makes good power and is pretty damn quick. but imo a long way away from a drag car. my buddy was daily driving a 2.0 sleeved motor with a 42r and twin disk etc etc.... Id say keep it as a street car. but only 1 opinion matters and thats yours.

nah, theres nothing wrong with it. i know the "stories" about how some guys buddies girlfriends brother was using it and it shattered the oil pump. But i have not talked to a person directly who has said that the pulley has for sure caused a problem. Its was in my teg for over a year, and now 7 months in the hatch with no problems at all.

Nice, I have the same steering wheel in my DA. And I hate it
Anyway, if you want my opinion, I'd say make it a track car. But, I prefer those strange tracks where the road curves. If you want to go fast in a straight line (and it seems like you really like doing so), then make it a drag car. A few more mods and you'll probably hit 10's, hopefully you don't give up so much that it becomes undriveable on the street--like you mentioned, you still want to drive it to/from the track.
