ok i just bought a hatch and the guy i bought it from said it has had a motor swap but i have looked at other hatchs and it looks the same but for some reason other people have five speed but i have a 4 speed what years and models had this in the hatch?

 

the 4 speed trans comes in the std models. i have one myself

 

damn, the guy told you that it had a motor swap, but in actuality its like the cheapest model you could possibly get lol. unless it has a z6 or y8 head swapped onto it, but i doubt it. Perhaps he just means the original engine blew up and it was replaced with another stock engine? take a pic of this thing and someone will figure out what it is real quick
