Ok I was wondering if my VSS from a 93 civic Lx would fit on a 96 gsr tranny? Are they even interchangeable?

Ok I finally took off the VSS of my D series tranny. At this I noticed that the VSS can be disassembled. Would it be best tor just remove the electrical parts to my car and replace them or remove the whole piece itself of from my B series? Some one mentioned that the B series VSS had a non plastic gear thingy. While the D Series is. Any input on this?

 

Yes, you can put the D-series gear and rod into a B-series sensor. The B-series gear and rod is metal, while the D-series is plastic.

 

WTF??? I just changed my VSS for another one and the damm speedometer still didn't work and the cel came back on? How do I fix this now? Im stumped. Could this VSS be bad too. It cam of a JDM B16 tranny and I put it on a 96 GSR tranny.
