Default been buffin all day.

so i got this car a couple weeks ago here is how it looked


i have done alot of work, but the most time consuming has been all the paint work ive done... worked my but off this beautiful labor day






more interior pics once i clean it real nice...also i have a new bumper that isnt faded beyond restore

i was going to just re spray the car, but somewhere under there the paint was a ok

keep it clean, and lots of wax on it, older reds hondas were only single stage paint so it will fade quick again if you dont keep wax on it

good lookin car so far

but ya ill keep it clean, as always

more shots/photoshoot coming as soon as i get my new wheels.

oh and any tips on removing the goo from the civic badge i removed? i thought about using fingernail polish but dont wanna mess up the paint???

try goo-gone. I heard this isn't the best for paint either tho.

honestly, use laquer thinner lightly, don't rubb soo hard, then take the buffer and buff the spot with sealer and wax or whatever your using.

I've used rubbing alcohol for the adhesive and it works pretty good,

just as long as you follow it up with some wax and seal it.

more shots of the paint? it looks like its still swirled/marred up in the pic.

or is it the camera/pic/reflections?

'96-'00 hatchbacks were Roma Red, a clearcoat paint. '96-'00 coupes were Milano Red, which were a tricoat clearcoat paint. No single stages on 6th gen Civics.

ya thats a shot of the roof, which didnt come out as good as the rest of the car...but i also got a little bit lazy with it, prob gonna respray it black

i actually used turtle wax rubbing compound for med. to heavy oxydation. with a thakita highspeed buffer, and turtle wax cleaner wax.

Thanks, ive done alot of work on it in just a week, swapped in my old ls/vtec poormans R. to put around, but the bay needs some major work,

ignore the oil splattered valve cover...got my new one done just need to get a v/c gasket kit to put it on.
