I've always seen this topic and it's always a giant argument as to where the fuel pump is located. There is an access panel with three screws located directly behind the seats in the center. However, it is NOT the fuel pump, only the sending unit. The fuel pump is located farther back on the tank, somewhat centered and under the hump leading to the spare tire well. Here's a picture, hopefully others can use this and have an easier time if you're like me and you refuse to drain and drop a full tank of gas when your [freak]ing pump goes out..



The metal peels pretty easily. I plan to cut the excess out and weld a plate of sheet metal back over it. Again, I hope this helps!
