Default can someone help me real quick....


i pulled the maf sensor in my 97 civic to put on a intake...
then i put the stock one back on and the check engine light is still on after i plugged it back in....
how long does it take to reset itself...
or should i pull the positive battery cable to reset it...
and if so will it lock the radio>
please help

I wasn't aware 97's came with MAF only MAP

in obd2 cars it can take multiple restarts to reset itself somewhere between 3-5 if everything has fixed itself so just drive it for a few days and if it doesnt go away then you might have a problem or have to manually reset it. if its a honda stereo it will lock it and you will need the code for it if you pull the battery cable

well i pulled the plug to the intake manifold and then put it back on and thats why the light when on....do u know if it resets itself and how long?

read above..3-5 restarts of the car something like 30 miles my dad is a mechanic and owns an obd2 scanner its different for all cars but thats a general amount of time
