Default first crx si

I just bought my first 2nd gen crxsi for 2G's
ive wanted one since i was in high school and had the chance to buy one so i did.

i love to drive the car because it has a b18a1 swap, so its pretty quick and i love the sunroof on a sunny day..

Even still with all the good comes the bad, so here it is.

*Battery dies and i think the alternator needs to replaced, once i turn off the car it wont turn on again. the gauges barely lite up but nothing. when hooked up for a jump, the car will start right up no hesitation.

*No E-brake i dont know if the cable is damaged or there is something wrong with the drums.
So i have to leave the car in gear so it wont roll down a hill.

*Tranny is gone bad because there is a lot of play in the shifter even when in gear, or maybe when they did the swap they didnt change the shift linkage
or maybe the bearings i dont know.

*Radiator fan is wired to a switch on my dash so i turn it on manually.

*Engine light comes on and i dont think it could be overheating cause when i drive i leave the radiator fan on continuasly.

well thats just some of the stuff going on with it and so here is more.

when at a stop and taking off at a turn, the tires spin even at lite pedal push
i feel there is not enough slack on the gas pedal because barely tapping the gas feels like mid throttle

when driving even at speed limits when shifting hits hard its not smooth for no reason.

then i think there might be a short in the turn signals cause they blink rapidly the back ones cause the front ones dont work.

ok so for those that do read this and can help , it is appreciated very much.
i do want to get this car running correctly thanks. reppin' the rex

Default FV-QR

Just because your engine light is on, it doesn't mean it's overheating. Tried adjusting your handbrake cable? Nice array of emoticons used too.

K, your turn signal blinks fast because on e of your bulbs is burnt out, what year is the car.. pull up your passenger side carpet and count the blinks on your computer.. that will tell the code for the check engine light problem. your alternator is dead.. pull the back wheels off then the drums pop off and check the brake shoes.. probly toast.. if there still good, pull off the center plastic where the handle is and there are 2 ajusting screws to tighten it up.. your tranny is probly fine.., there should be slight slack on the throttle cable on the throttle body, adjust it if it is tight.., that should take away the extra gas feel, your shifter is sloppy because the plastic bushing on the pivot joint is worn.. and your fan switch should be ok the way it is.. if it starts to get hot turn it on or crank on the heater..

I would think that the tires spinning on a turn would mean spool or welded differential. Everything else is typical fix for a ef. I swear if you plan on buying one of these cars you should just buy all the stuff needed to fix the above problems lol fact
