Default DANGIT!!!! -- Broken Plug Wire Boot giving me FITS!!!

I tried to replace the plug wires in my sedan that has been sitting for a while.

Well..... one of the boots that attached directly to the plug (down inside the head) broke off. The rubber down in the hole prevents the plug socket from getting to the plug.

I have thus far tried:
- Long needle-nosed pliers
- Screwing a screw down into the rubber and attempting to pull
- Coat hanger (stupid, I know)

Any help will be greatly appreciated. And here is a pic for your efforts:

maybe try getting a pick? I forget what the exact name is, but they are basically a long needle with a hook at the end. but if needle nose plyers didn't work, then I doubt the pick would either. Maybe try getting a torch and heating up the end of the socket really hot and stick the hot end onto the rubber and let it sit for a second. The rubber might stick to the socket and then u can pull it out. Probably won't work but worth a try maybe?

Werd. These are the boots that were on the car when I got it.

Thanks for the input, guys.

There is not enough to grab on to, unfortunately. I pulled at it bit by bit, and all the excess that was sticking up just came right off - detaching from the base. Now there is just a flat ring of rubber down there.

what did you do rip the rubber a bunch? if its all intact you shouldnt have a problem gettin it outta there with pliers. its called be patient, i bet the "fits" your having are causing you not to be able to get it ive never had a problem using em, on dohc, sohc... idk why yours would be so much dif then mine

On Saturday we ended up having this problem on my friends car but it was 4 that broke inside instead of 1. What i ended up doing for 2 was break the **** out of them with a spark plug socket, long extention and a hammer. For the last one though i did have to heat it up with a propane tank and melt the rubber. While i was heating it up i had my friend hammer the spark plug socket in to get the spark plug. It was nasty.

After every break i took air into the spark plug hole to get all the crap out.
