Default Which VSS to use? EG or EK?

Which VSS is ideal to use in the Cable D series transmissions? I'm OBDI with an OBDI Civic gauge cluster.

I know the EG VSS will work if you modify one of the legs, but I have read that the EK VSS will bolt right in with no modification.

Is the plug on the EK VSS the same as the EG?

Can anybody confirm that the EK VSS will bolt right on and function properly? I would rather go this route than modifying the EG VSS, and I can also get it a little bit cheaper.

I conducted a search but all of the info but one thread was on the EG VSS.

Yes they are the same and use the same plug.

Great! Thanks.

I'll go ahead and get the EK one since it's quite a bit cheaper from my vendor (no clue why, even the used ones seem cheaper at the junkyards I called).
