i recently took my car into a garage for some work and when it came back a warning light had appeared on the dash which i didnt know what it meant. when i took it back to honda garage they didnt know either - symbol does not appear the same on uk models! as my car is a jap import, manual is all in japenese - anyone know what it could be?? Its a red light, like a rectangle with little lines above it? Car appears to be running fine!?!?!?!

yea w/o pics its kind of hard to diagnose

 

its a picture of a cat with heat lines coming off of it, they have an egt type sensor in the cat( I think thats what it is but not sure), it probably went bad. if you go under the car look for a sensor in the cat it looks like an o2 but smaller. if you want the light to go off cut the wires going to it and connect the wires together.

 

My JDM cluster has the same warning light, but it's a 92-92 SiR-II cluster.

Is that for and exhuast gas temp sensor? I alway wondered....
