Default Power steering yes or no?

Well post here the advantages and dissadvantages of power steering. My turbo gsr doesn't have power steering and its a bitch when I'm trying to park or get the car going, however when i step on it, the car and steering wheel move when engaging 2nd and 3rd(scary but cool >:] ), so it makes me think what if i had power steering would it go out of control more or be more stable?.

ps= you dont need it to go fast! as far as a tighter or looser feel, manual steering usual has a tighter feel, but it depends on the car. but like you mentioned manual steering can make a 3pt turn a 7 pt turn

i am happy i pulled my power steering but it you do not want to pull it and you are good at fabricating and welding and you do not have you ac you can take and electric motor and pully and belt just like the old muscle car kits that let you convert your belt water pump to electric water pump and just use it to power you ps that way you gain that 1.5hp and you have ps

weighs the motor down? are you high? the pump and resevoir weigh, what, like 5 pounds? on a 2600 lb car 5 lb aint ****. i say put the ps back in. i removed mine before and i'm glad to have it back. not worth the hassle if it's a dd.

I have about 400+hp on my engine so 1.5 wont mean much, plus i have no ac, and hks suspension(so it should be stable) . If the ps fits i might as well put it on.

I hate to have to be the odd man out, but power steering is entirely a personal choice. If it works for you, then by all means go for it, if you're fine without it, then by all means leave it alone.

keep in my this is MY OPINION!

i drove my first truck w/o PS and loved it, now driving a car with PS i kinda like it but when get a new engine i plan on taking it out cause of better feel, cause what you only hate it when you park and if you can park correctly(use correct judgemeny) it wont bother you and same with a 3pt turn if you judge it right you can still keep it a 3pt turn if you cant your just weak or your just dumb for trying it in a tight spot-IMO

Thats agreeable, I took mine out years ago.

Why? Because "I" liked it, turning/parking doesn't bother me any.

From my personal experience:

Driving without PS on my current DC was like waiting for an accident to happen.

Why - every little undulation in the road the car would veer into a different direction other then the straight line you were traveling if you didn't keep both hands firmly on the steering. This was most noticeable at busy intersections that always have heavy traffic. The asphalt there is almost always undulated due to the heavy braking from cars and trucks. I almost lost control a couple times because of this. It literally feels like 3 people all of a sudden yanking your steering wheel away from you going in any given direction.

With PS, the veering didn't seem as noticeable and you can control the steering wheel with only one hand.

Please stay safe out there on the streets, if not for you for the safety of others. Keep your PS.
