Well next to the occasional mis-shift I have heard of nothing else going wrong with the car. Well besides the shitty michellen tires that come stock and must be replaced for better traction, the car is good. Get some falken azenis and put them on the stocks and your set to go.. Have fun with you car..

Dont worry girl, the RSX-S is a good car. Also honda has a good warrent...if you keep your car stock. If you start modding it they will start canceling the warrenties for the car. So for now just take the warrenty that comes with the car, do not get the extended warrenty.

If you do get the extended warrenty pay for it seperetely, in other words dont have them add it to you payment, they will add the interest to that as well. Pay for the exteneded warrenty seperately. The good thing about this is that when you want you can cancel anytime you want and get money back from it, If you have them add it to your bill you will not get any money back. Well good luck with your car girl, also what color are you getting? well keep us posted on your car. If you need info on it let us know..

One of my friends is an Acura tech.

He's seen a few cases of porous block castings on the K-series.

my buddy who is a parts specialist at the acura here said the same thing. Also the A/C compressors blow and motors have been blowing (without the mis-shifts). I dunno maybe Honda just needs to fix a few things. I hope the new isn't . That's why you don't buy a car the first year it's released I guess.

I have a type-S that I have had for about a month and a half now. No problems so far. I do know that the first few thousand cars developed had problems with grinding going into second. Also, there was a problem with the oil control rings.
Apparently, they were not seating properly and some people in clubrsx were burning as much as 1 qt. of oil per 500 miles!!!!!!!! There were a few who had their shortblock replaced because of this.

I think that all this has been fixed. My car doesn't grind going into second. I do however notice that sometimes it won't go into second as smoothly as the other gears. Also, since I changed my oil to Mobil 1 supersyn, I burned about 1/4 qt. in 1500 miles. I don't think that's a problem cause I know how thin mobil 1 is and they do burn more than any other oil I have had experience with. I am going to switch to redline oil cause I have had very good results with it before. Plus it doesn't burn nearly as much as mobil 1.

Other than that, the only other problem that I have heard of for the type-S is that some models have a shot bose woofer, but that is easily fixed with a new wiring harness.
