Default Best components for installing ipod dock to AUX port of OEM stereo?

I know that I want to be able to control my ipod with the stock headunit and charge it, etc. What are the best components to purchase?

Is the Dension Gateway 100 the best choice? Is that all I'll need, or do I need another item like the soundgate panel? I'm a little confused on what's the best choice and optimal set-up. Anyone with any experience with this, your input would be greatly appreciated...

I'm not exactly sure what that is but on our 06 I used the USA Spec adapter. You unplug where the XM radio connects and it plugs in there on the back of the radio then you plug the XM into the harness for this thing so you can keep both. It has a box that has aux inputs and then a cable that comes out of it to plug into the ipod. I mounted the box under the shifter boot area and ran the wires to the little pocket that opens and closes under the radio.

I can control it from the head unit sort of. It will change volume and tracks. However it just says CDC-5-01 or whatever so like it's on a CD changer disk 5 song one. Song up will change it to song 2 even if you are on song 5 on the cd. If you then change it on the ipod it doesn't know to reset it back to song one. So if you start the ipod out from song 5 it says one and doesn't know to change it when songs change on their own. It also doesn't show the artist info on the H/U. You can't change to other artists and stuff that I know of either but overall it seems to work fairly well. I like it.
