Default Major! wiring issue FLUCTUATING GAUGES!!!

THIS IS A 91 DA (GS)....OK START AT THE BEGININ... I REPLACED MY GROUND CABLE COMING OFF THE BATTERY, WEEKS LATER THE GAUGES STARTED TO JUMP AROUND, ALL 4...TEMP,RPMS,SPEEDO (which made no sense)and the fuel.... SO AS I WAS DRIVIN ON THE FREEWAY THE PROBLEM STARTED UP AGAIN... AND FINALly FALL TO ITS FACE, TOWED IT BACK TO MY PLACE TO START IT AND ONCE IN A WHILE IT START BUT MOMENTS LATER IT DIES... LIGHTS DONT TURN ON... SPEEDO NEEDLE MELTED OFF... AND WHILE THE PROLEM WAS A ISSUE ON THE FREEWAY BRAKING,TURN SIGNAL, STEREO POWER ON OR OFF, RADAR, ANY LOADS WOULD CAUSE THE GAUGES TO FLUCTUATE....
WHAT I DO KNOW...
BATTERYS GOOD AT FULL HEATLH AND CHARGED
ALL FUSES ARE GOOD
TRIED A DIFFERENT ECU
SOUNDS OF A RELAY TICKING AS I CRANK THE ENGINE(in unisin cranking of the engine and relay ticking)
ALTERNATORS GOOD
STARTERS GOOD
ONLY ? ARE THE RELAYS... WHERE DO I START?

wow, thats a horrible short and if it really did melt the needles on your cluster, DO NOT START UP YOUR CAR! Get a DMM, a oscilloscope, a helms manual, and depending on your expertise, a free week

I had this issue with a 95 Accord and my 97 Teg. Alternator was on its way out in the Accord, and had a loose battery cable underneath the fuse box initially in the Teg, followed by corroded ground wires a few months later. Follow the cables from the battery to the fuse box, ultimately to the alternator and ensure that there is no corrosion and that all connections are tight. Had I not checked, I would have had an engine bay fire due to the battery cable arcing and burning the underside of the fuse box.
