I am going to start off with saying. I did not have my digital camera on me.
Now the good stuff.
Bought this 1998 gsr shell. Had some of the plugs cut to the cabin harness. So i respliced them temporary just to get the car running and what not.
When i was wiring up the plug for the engine harness. All the wires matched up fine. I ran into a problem though.
You can see in the picture provided that 2 wires from the cabin, and 2 wires from the connector are EXACTLY the same.
Solid Blue with 2 Silver Stripes.
I have no clue what they are for and if it okay how i have them. They could be hooked up to the wrong ones but i have no idea.
Someone tell me what this is for and if it even matter's if they were crossed.

well no, ur tach is going to work no matter what, its going to recieve a signal off the dizzy, the blue wire should just be tape'd off, i forget what reason its used for, id check my car, but its got a wire tuck so no luck
The tach wire runs from the distributor into the driver-side connector. You'll have to use the service manual or ETM to figure out which pin number it's set into. It's not hard, all you have to use is your brain.

--- So it is as simple as ...
distributor
to
female connector (distributor connector)
to
male connector (engine harness connector)
to
some wire (wireloomed stuff)
to
to female connector (engine harness connector)
to
male connector (cabin harness in engine bay)
to
cabin harness (cluster/ecu)

Pretty much. Just find the solid blue wire on the engine harness and jump across the terminal. Then make sure it's paired with the correct wire or that it has continuity with the RPM wire for the ECU and dash gauge.

ill check it out next time i stop at the garage. that's something i gotta fix asap.
Since i am using a ls distributor, i am guessing that's where my problem lies originally.

[b]CONNECTOR FROM DISTRIBUTOR

[b]ENGINE HARNESS TO DISTRIBUTOR

[b]ENGINE HARNESS TO CABIN HARNESS

[b]CABIN HARNESS TO ENGINE HARNESS

[i]I didn't see you say follow the solid blue wire... That's the reasoning behind taking these pictures. So basically. I gotta follow that blue wire de-pin it and re-pin it into the corresponding cabin harness blue/silver stripped wire. Bah, i wish i would have seen you say solid blue. I could have tried it out earlier.
