Not sure if there are many SE drivers here but if any of you are interested in running Daytona I found this info over at ImprovedTouring.com:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
H1 thru H5 class cars are invited to participate with Central Florida Region, SCCA at it’s regional event, September 27-28, 2008 at Daytona International Speedway.
Run your Honda Challenge car, under NASA prep rules, with a valid NASA or SCCA competition license and SCCA membership. Not an SCCA member??? Not a problem, sign up for temporary membership, at the track, for the race weekend for a cost of $15.
Register online at dlbracing dot com, or select the link at cfrscca dot org. Need help with online registration?? See the FAQ and Guide to Online Registation at cfrscca dot org. Questions?? Post them here for answer or email rlan107@aol OR CFRREG2@aol</TD></TR></TABLE>

I live about an hour from the track and may be able to get free and help anyone out who hasn't raced there before. Be it track info or crew help, let me know
Christian
PS
From the supp's this looks like a triple race weekend. 15 minute practice, 10 minute Qual, 8 lap race, 5 lap race, and a 10 lap race. I know the lap count sounds a bit low but this track is over 3.5 miles and lap times for an H4 car should be around 2:20ish. Price is $180.

Too bad
If you know anyone out there who may be interested, please pass this along. I'd love to see this get some NASA folks out for a great race!
It's a cool format where the first race finish order sets the grid for the 2nd race. Then the 2nd race finish sets the grid for the 3rd "feature" race. I managed a triple podium here last year with two 3rd's and a 1st in the feature. Just to give you an idea on car counts; last year we in ITA (H4) we had 20 cars start the weekend in a field of 59 cars total.
