ok i bought a 97 integra and for some reason the srs light wont turn off i checked the fuse its good and idea what it could be

 

Was the car in a wreck previously?

 

I have the same problem too... it just turn on after certain mileage regularly just like the Reg Main Light...

my car hasn't wrecked....

damn.... i guess I need to bring it to Acura to reset by their tech

 

they do that aftre a certain amount of years...of if in previous accedent

 

i think it was is there a way i can fix it

 

take it to the dealership. They're the only qualified people who can mess with that stuff.

 

if i remember right, some of the high end scanners can check the srs system and either reset the light or tell you what the problem is. the snap on mt2500 is capible and that scanner is at least 6-7 years old.

 

You can read the SRS codes just like the CEL codes. You simply need a paper clip. Check the FAQ for a link.

 

I had the same problem with my teg, all I did was check all my SRS hook ups and make sure they were all in tact. The SRS light was still on, so I reset the the unit and still no luck, so the final thing left was the SRS brain. I have 2 tegs ( One of them was total'd ) so I switched the the SRS brain and my problem was solved.
