Dam man.Imagine what that would feel like right when you started squeezing the nitrous.ahahhahahahah.I htink h22a's can run a 200shot I think so.

There was a CRX at the local runs this past weekend, squeezing 120 on a stock block B16, damn that **** was fast! But he was running so much fuel that it sputtered and backfired like a champ. One time, when he smashed into third I saw the biggest fireball I've ever seen in my life, along with the loudest backfire, it was crazy! But he ran about 9 or 10 times without blowing up, must be doing something right.

To me, just because you don't blow up doesn't mean it's safe to spray like that.
Agreed. Squeezing more than 80 on a stock motor is pretty risky IMO. It was kinda funny, cause after he ran, the car was sputtering all the way back to the line to run again, crazy

Ok we all agree that stock block and that high of a shot will blow your **** up. If you build the living **** out of your motor I think it could take it. But I wouldnt be sprayin a whole lot. I would say some kind of direct port wet shot.
Is it possible? What kind of internal mods would I need to run such high hp shot of nitrous?I know this sounds ludicrous but is it possible.
Yes, anything's possible with enough $$$. If you're deadset on doing it...why not ask in the FI forum...
squeeze half the hp you have to be safe. i used to squeeze 80 shots single wet fogger and that was enough to land me into the high 13s on street tires(b18b1 stock motor in a hb).
If a B16 motor can take an extra 100-125 on a stock block going turbo (tuned), why can't it take a 100-125 shot of nitrous? Sure with a turbo you gradually increase power thus not putting a instantaneous amount of power at once. You can do it too with nitrous. You can set it up as a 2 stage nitrous system. I believe the Jacobs Nitrous Mastermind does this. It will pulse the solenoids allowing whatever preset shot you want until it gradually reaches its full flow. Tuning on a dyno of course is the key just like turbo or supercharging.
but lets say we spray a 150shot and yet there is not even fuel to compensate for the Nitrous... say goodbye to your valves or even your piston/ring lands.. sometimes u can keep driving even when u hurt the engine with nitrous but that doesn't mean to look for the biggest shot in the world just to run 13s or eve 12s once .. but yes tuning is the key just as u said etec..what was the fastest honda on nitrous only 10.8? I always forget I know Kurt Gordons red eg ran I believe low 11s and had the most publicity out of it.
If the motor is fresh and the A/F is good a b16 can handle a 100 shot
With forged pistons, sleeves, and arp head studs 150+ is very realistic

I'll tell you what: you go ahead and try it if you want to, and you can tell me all about it later, cuz that sounds like a good way to win the Honda Darwin Award IMO
ouch... you have a replacement motor for your car??? cuz your gonna need one..... why would you do that anyways it costs more in the long run....
