my back lights wont go off =[
can somone please let me know and if possible

Ummmm it's probably the back up sensor on the tranny that's stuck somewhere. Try to wiggle em' around (very technical I know

When you ask a question like this, you should specify which car (model, year, transmission, etc.).
There is a reverse light switch on the transmission as in the following diagram for a 2001 GSR (Part 10). Disconnect the plug for the switch and see if the lights turn off. If they do, the switch is at fault.

mmm red brake lights i think you are refering to
on you brake pedal, the very top, there is a push button style switch that the lever hits to stop the lights, on that lever is fitted a rubber/plastic gourmet that pushes teh button, some reason its missing, u can replace it with a 10mm nut and bolt or something of that nature, good luck
