Stolen Ducati recovered in El Dorado Hills, Calif
Search for stolen motorcycle leads to arrest in El Dorado Hills

From David Richie:
A Ducati motorcycle valued at $15,000 to $20,000 has been recovered by El Dorado County sheriff's investigators after an alleged burglary at a home in the 3800 block of Silkwood Place just west of Silva Valley Parkway in El Dorado Hills.
Deputies were called about 7:30 a.m. Monday by a resident who told them that someone had gained entry to his locked garage. The motorcycle was missing along with motorcycle gear and some electronics, including a projector, said Sgt. Bryan Golmitz, El Dorado County sheriff's spokesman.
The resident suggested that deputies talk to a neighbor on nearby Falkirk Way who had shown a lot of interest in the bike.
Deputies went to that address and contacted Shawn Paul Hunter, 31 (top left photo). During a consent search of the home, they found the projector that had been reported missing from the garage on Silkwood Place. Hunter was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, Golmitz said.
Detectives then obtained a search warrant for the home on Falkirk Way and found other items during a more extensive search. They also developed information that Wednesday night led them to Folsom, where they recovered the Ducati motorcycle, Golmitz said.
Hunter remains in El Dorado County Jail on charges of suspicion of first-degree burglary and receiving stolen property. A vehicle theft charge is pending but has not yet been filed. Bail for the two felony theft counts has been set at $275,000 each.

If only it were always this easy. FWIW, El Dorado Hills is an area with lots of pretty wealthy people.
