The other day I was getting ready to leave work and I went to back up but the transmission would not go into reverse. Luckily I could maneuver my way out but I got home and started to tinker with it and it will not go into reverse. It wont even budge a little it is completely locked out.

Anybody have any experience with this?

 

Your transmissions syncro for reverse is prolly off line or broken. Really the only way to figure out whats wrong EXACTLY is to take the tranny apart. I know it sounds like a pain in the *** but its gotta be done.

 

have you tried it with the car turned off? ... my brothers eclipse gsx wont go into reverse unless the car is turned off lol
