Ok so I've posted before about my d16y7/8 mini me bogging. I have changed the spark plugs, fuel filter, messed with the timing through my destributer, and all that jazz. The only thing I haven't done is clean my air filter. Could this be the problem? I figured it would be something more then that. What I don't quiet understand about this problem is that when I turn off the car real quick and back on again the bogging disappears for a little bit, but when I turn it off and on I get a back pressure POP out of my exhaust. Any ideas?

 

unplug vtec and see if it still bogs. unplug the solenoid and the oil pressure sensor.

 

would that effect it even if I don't hit vtec when daily driving it? also, what would the fix be?

 

It sounds to me like you might be a tooth on the timing.

 

what exactly would that entail me doing to fix it? :S I've never messed with the belts yet
