Headlight Questions
I put some knock off JDM headlights on my ride a while back. Part of the conversion is switching from 9005 and 9006 bulbs to H series bulbs. Now, my headlights came with h4's for the low beam side and h1's for the high beam side. The strange thing is the H4's bulbs are dual filament.
Is this is a mistake?
Is it possible that across the pond they use the low beam hosing as the high/low together and the high beam housing as a fog light or some thing other?
Even if not that's what I want to do.
Does anyone know if they make h1's in an amber or yellow?
Does anyone know on an H4 bulb what the pins are so I can hook it up properly? Should be a high beam 12V, low beam 12V and a common ground pin.

I'm sure it can be done. Although, I'm not much of an electrician. I have the same headlights, and I tried to do something similar. I was pissed that the high beam portion of my PIAA Xtreme white H4 bulb was left unused, so I spliced the positive from the H1 bulb and connected it to the unused tab on the H4 bulb (for the high beam filament). I wanted the H1 bulb and the high beam filament on the H4 to light up when I hit my high beams. For some reason both filaments on the H4 bulb would light up regardless of whether my high beam switch was on or off. I quit, but haven't put much thought into it. Let me Know how it goes. I think I'll try again too.
you're gonna start a fire like that. you're pulling way to much wattage through the stcok high beam circuit. you should add a relay so you don't burnup you car
