are they any good? how much are they worth brand new?

"BRAND NEW Magnecor 8.5mm spark plug wire set. The model number is #45164 and it will fit the following Hondas:

Honda Civic & Crx 1988-91

Honda Civic CX DX LX 1992-95 (SOHC non-VTEC engines)

Honda Del Sol S 1993-95"

OEM is just fine

no dyno gains from spark plug wires , and they list for like 130 new

If I have to say it a thousand times...Stock plug wires work best. There is no need to upgrade whatsoever. Many times aftermarket plug wires are a gimmick, just like almost every aftermarket part available for Hondas. Promises of 20+ hp with this bolt on muffler.

I have went thru 6 sets of wires on my car and the best ones would be stock/ngk. I believe NGK's are made by the same guys that make the OEM Honda ones. I got my set from http://www.inlinefour.com

They cost more than twice as much as OEM wires, and I'm almost positive they're not twice as good.

Magnecores also have a nasty tendency to wiggle themselves off the distributor...that's why you see people ziptie 'em on there. One worked its way free one time in my friend's car...and it made a nasty sound, similar to a drowning motorboat maybe...

N8 has then on his gsr motor, and they kept popping out... finally had to rig them up so they cant pop out.. not cool

Ran a set on my GSR. No problems. Gottem during a group buy a while back for $40 a set.

damn...i was about to get a set as well but after hearing all the commotion...i think i'll pass and get some little NGK plug wires. this site helps me save a bunch of $$$ let's use the $$$ for some beer!

Look on the internet used parts sites. I'm not sure which one, but I'm quite sure some rice boy went out and bought some Aerospeed yellow super wires and would sell you brand new 2 month old spark plug wires for $20 bucks.
