obd0 b16a no spark!!!!!! help
so i was driving last night and my car just died on me..... it was driving fine but then is lost all power and back fired!!!!! today i checked the dizzy cap and rotor to find that the rotor was in peaces inside the dizzy cap so i replaced that.... still nothing.... changed the whole dizzy with a known working dizzy nothing.... checked timing at the cam gears and they look to be right.. all grounds are good... pulled the spark plugs out and they were black so i know its getting fuel... also i can smell fuel... ive tryed switching out to a stock pr3 ECU and still no spark... i have also changed out the main relay..any other ideas.... please let me know this is my DD
I had the same problem with my rex...turnes out to be a bad coil and igniter inthe distrubutor... check for resistance...they supply your saprk if its not he coil.. thenits the igniter...
just try the coil first.. still no spark then the igniter.. so you dont have to keep changing "dizzys" as you call them... i bet its one the the two to blame....

He most likely doesnt have a good coil and igniter lying around. I meant it would probably be much easier to borrow a friends dizzy (just an abreviation), to see if thats the problem.
If the 3rd dizzy has spark then he can go and purchase a new dizzy or coil/igniter.
Not trying to be an a-hole just wanted to make myself clear.

even if you dont have a coil or igniter lying around the fastest and easiest way is to check for resistance in the coil and igniter... ohm them out its very simple...ohms LAW....es 101 electrical basics........
switched out spark plugs today and still no spark.... im getting power to the dizzy.... gettin power to the coil but theres no power coming out... put in a new coil and ignitor.... still no spark... so i got curious and took my old dizzy apart to find that it is locked up and will not turn at all...... i started checking cam to crank timing to find that its about 2 -3 teath off... so i am going to put it back in time and hope for the best..
