I bought my brother's 1998 Honda Accord with 330 00 kms = 198 000 miles on it...how many km's or miles are you guys running at. What is the life span of a Honda engine. This is the 1st one I've owned and am very impressed with it....runs like new. Most of the mileage is highway driven. Thanks.

my dads 98 ex v6 has 185,000 and the 2000 ex coupe has 200k all strong if taken care of.

 

my 98 accord lx has 172,xxx on it and runs like a new one still

 

i got an uncle has a 5 speed 98 lx wit 256,000miles original timing belt ony thing hes done was clutch once and regular tune ups and my brother got an automatic lx wit 176,000 had to change tha tranny (never serviced)timing belt and waterpump sometimes it depends

 

Honda engines are not the issue 300K + is not uncommon........manual trans is good, AT (I4 or V6) are crap for 98-02 cars 03+ are OK but near the quality of a pre 98 auto trans
