It is an FD2, Just probably a JDM model or JDM front end.

Are the interior lights blue on an FD2? It also redlines at 7k. Look like a swap into an LX or something.

Everyone saw the title, a K series and a JDM front and automatically assumed.

This is and FD1 with a swap, the FD2 is a Type R which the vehicle is clearly not. The telltale signs are, blue instrumentation, 5 speed shifter, 6800 redline, no side markers, turn signals on mirror.

Something else that caught my attention was the absences of the squarish runners on the intake manifold, this looks more like and RBC manifold to me.

I have seen more RBC manifolds in my life than anyone else here. I cut about 10 a week so my customers can put them on their K20A's.
