Default Car left me stranded...Got a tow...Now what?

My car had been giving me symptoms that my EGR ports were clogged, so I cleaned them. I replaced the old ports the best I could, except two of the plugs went in a little farther than they should have. Could this be my problem? Anyways, I was going on a little road trip and decided to chance it. My car was intermittenly stuttering and acting like crap, but would run fine over 3k rpm. I then hit some heavy rain and it basically killed my car. After the rain my car started to backfire and it stalled out a couple times. At one point when I pulled over there was thick white smoking coming out of the exhaust before the muffler. Then it finally quit going down the road and now it won't start. When I finally got home it was dark but I checked two of the sparkplugs and two of them had oil. Sorry for the long post but any help would be appreciated.

OH OH....sounds like baaahuuugggg, can you say that<<<<<<hahaha..

anyways, open your oil cap, look under it, is it white and look like melted ice cream? if so, blown head gasket. if not, options are

1. check for spark if not starting
2. check for bad valve cover spark plug tubbing seal (that's where your oil is coming from)
3. compression test
4. you should of never tested your luck......

gl.
