Hey guys, just as the title says, what is the best way to clean out ALOT of packed on carbon inside your muffler (I have a round Magnaflow one). I've tried alot of cleaners and even a pressure washer doesn't take it off. It hasn't been cleaned in forever which is why there is so much. Any special cleaners or solvents to do the job?

 

Are you looking at cleaning just the tip of the muffler or the whole interior?

 

Well both, but more so just the inside of the tip so not much of an area

a big wire brush or some carb cleaner on a shop towel

 

If it's really that bad I suggest buying a new muffler. Magnaflows are cheap on ebay.

 

Well it's not really that bad it just annoys me. I don't wanna change the muffler cause I love how mine sounds and I would have to pay labor to put it on. I will try some carb cleaner thanks
