Moisture leak in headlight... randomly happens, randomly doesnt... Any ideas?
So I did a search and couldn't find anything on moisture leaks so here it goes.
My driver side headlight will fill up with moisture when I wash my car, that is the only time it happens.
Any way to reseal it or keep it from getting moisture inside?

Any input would be great! Thanks in advance!

It isn't totally necessary to have an airtight seal. You won't have an airtight seal anyway since there are several vent ports on the back of the headlight housing. I have openings around the bulb base with my HID projectors, letting air circulate along with the vent ports, and I may get some condensation in one light maybe once or twice a year. All I do is just drive the car and the air rushing past the headlights tends to dry it out.
But you could try running some sealant around the front and rear portion of the headlight housing to keep moisture from getting in there when you wash it.

i had same problem. water was up to about an inch when it rains hard. lol
i ran clear silicon around the housing and not a single leak

if you not lazy, take em off and just heat them up in the oven, move the glass in the housing a little and let it cool off. that's what i did after i finished retrofit and water kept getting in in one of the headlights, never happened after reheating.
also its good to clean those vents on the back by blowing some pressured air inside, careful not to blow dirt inside the housing take off rubber tubes 1st and clean those then housing vents
Patrick is the man in that stuff, would listen to him. props

Thanks for all the info guys... I will definitely be trying some of these ideas when i get some free time.
So I pulled the headlight apart, wiped it out, re heated it in the oven. It stayed moisture free for a while. Now its WAY worse than it was before.
What would be my best way to reseal it?
