Default One of my favorite option videos...

The narration in this video is a little stupid sounding, but I love the cars! It's old, but I thought I would share...

IMO, the best part is when Tsuchiya in the NSX realizes Yamaji's CRX is losing pace. I think it's at 3:40 in the vid. He starts late braking, entering the corners really fast, and having to correct.

I have that one, so cool. The crx is very gutted and in the end of the show the drivers all pointed out the CRX won because of its very light weight. IIRC it has a B20 VTEC, estimated 240hp on the video it said in translation.

I read somewhere that the engine was a carbed B16 stroked to 2 liters.

Thanks for the specs... Now someone guess the weight? I've seen some of the 88' crx's in japan as low as 1565lbs without the driver, or at least that's what someone at it listed in one of the "option" type circuit videos... It's definitely below 1900lbs w/o the driver... Plus the Japanese drivers look to be 120-145 pounds ringing wet! LOL

Just curious to see what you guys thought about the weight, but it's a cool clip to watch...

Shunei Kawasaki, the driver of the SSWorks CRX, is shorter than Tsuchiya.

In the movie I have, it said the car weighs 840kg. So x 2.2 = 1848 no driver

Yeah definitely a light car, anyone know what year/trim that car is? 88's where the lightest offered and then they got progressively heavier over time, but most of the crap they added on could be removed for racing... But Si door bars, and front bumper support weight the most, but I would never remove them unless I was going to replace them with an upgrade... Like door bars on my cage...

Thanks for the info!
