Best way to wire 4 ohm with 2 channel amp
i would just wire them up to each channel, like one sub per channel. do not wire up the subs together to get a 2ohm load and bridge the amp.. most amps will blow unless they can handle a 2ohm load when bridged. Not sure how much power those subs will actually receive, but have you thoought of just using one of those sub? you can wire one sub to the amp and bridge the channels for the most power..
Ok the subs are a Kicker CompVR 07CVR104 the amp is a SSL AF600 2 channel.
For some reason I tried hooking up each sub to each channel and only one of them works. Would one of my output on the channels gone out???

Best thing to do is really toss that amp. Also pop both speakers to make sure it works. Since you said one does not work just do that one. There website does not even have any info on that model. So I not going to be able to tell how to bridge it. So the best thing is to run it stereo. Might not be enough power.
As mentioned, [and the way you tried] is to connect one sub to each channel of the amp as the amp is not stable below 4 ohms when bridged and an 8 ohm load in the bridged mode would only be about 150W RMS and you really need 800-1000W RMS to properly drive two Kicker 10" Comp VRs, [CVR10] as they are 400W continuous each, [800W peak].
Also as mentioned, replace the amp, find a 800W-1000W RMS into 2 ohms mono block sub amp

Hows the Alpine MRP-M500 mono amplifier?? Any good?? Overkill?

A good amp but only 1x500W RMS into 2 ohms.
The Alpine MRP-M1000... http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-e...M1000 would be a lot better.

if you look around, you can probably get it for less, tahts the msrp, but most online dealers sell for less, try sonicelectronix.com or onlinecarstereo.com or woofersect.com and see if they carry it.
Then either use only one of the subs and find a 1x400W-500W RMS into 4 ohms amp, SPL would be the same, [maybe even a little more] as running both subs with with only 500W or find a cheaper 1000W amp, what you should not do is under-power the subs.
