Default Hissing sound

Occasionally I hear a hissing sound coming from the front of the car. I haven't been able to locate exactly where it was coming from, but my guesses are it's either an alternator bearing or a leaky radiator hose of something. It's not that loud, but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what it is.

Thanks

Brent

Could be a cold air/short ram intake.

Maavrik. I remember that epic post. I was laughing. It happens dude. Anyway you should get a friend and have him listen for the sound while you coast it. Does it still make sound when you are moving? Which side does it sound like it's coming from?

could be a vacuume leak. look for a hose attatched only at one end or a vacuume port unatended by a hose and plug it with your finger to see if the hissing goes away. if it does there you go you found the leak. the problem then is to figure out where that vacuume is to be supplied to. you dont want to just plug it.
