Do you know someone who has actually cut the metal roof panel away and put in a CF panel? How would you attach it, seeing as you can't weld the side roof rails to the CF panel? Sounds to me like the unibody would lose a TON of rigidity doing something like that.

ah haah dang that is so old. The last one about the camber kit is kinda out-dated, though, since it's been shown that a simple alignment will cure most tire wear issues after a car is lowered. Camber kits are usually not needed.
lets get this thread back on topic. when you remove the roof panel there will be 3 cross braces that go from side to side that is your structure, as for attching it 3M makes a product called panel bond body shops use it and it is stronger than the substright that is being bonded.
If you didn't know the owner of that company is on this site.
Edit: here is a thread of his selling roof caps for dc and ek https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2351120

It is really not all that rice. Jeez if it looks cool than to each there own. Rice to me are big *** unpainted body kits and loud *** fart cans on automatics.
for the carbon fiber roof cap, even if its just for looks and not weight reduction looks cool either way.

I agree to a point. But I can already picture ppl slapping this on with some cheap dbl sided tape and flying around thinking there cool. Then when the wind catches the front and the whole thing goes flying off into an oncoming car then what? I personally seen this happen on a 350z at the carlisle show this yr. Point is if your going to do it make sure its done right. This guy should just make a nice CF piece that can actually replace the rusted out moonroof pieces alot of hondas are known for.

Slapping an un-painted panel on top of the original painted panel that doesn't even match the rest of the car - straight up rice.
What if some place started selling CF hood overlays, where you don't even have to replace your hood, just stick this overlay on top of it. Or if someone just applied CF tape all over a stock metal hood. I guarantee everyone on this site would call that rice. This is the EXACT same thing.
