Is it possible to make the vtec kick louder?

 

get a short ram or remove the silencer from your stock airbox.

crack your vtec solenoid and it will be much better, it will become super loud everyone will know that you have it.

a quite vtec is a good vtec.

silencer is in the passenger side fender. If you remove the liner in the fenderwell, you should be able to see it. It's a black box with a J-pipe coming out of it.

It's not going to make it that much louder though. If you're really looking to annoy people, just get a gigantic ricey muffler like every other fool out there.

loloool mines louder then this with cams and i just have the stock intake sleeve with a filter on the end.... but i also have another cam

thats what i was going to post, but i was on my sidekick at the time

 

get a header, install it upside down (after cutting a hole in the hood) and then you can see flames! Get a rain cap flapper thing for that big rig look.

Or... seruously, get a cai/shortam intake and a decent performance exhaust that sounds nice, not farty or like a weed wacker. I'm not a Honda Civic performance guy, but I'm sure others here know what to recommend. Probably not flowmaster.

so, let me paint a picture for everyone here...
I work at Park Bank and I just got done ROFL'ing at this entire post. I literally laid down on the ground and laughed at this thread.

To the OP, the easiest way to have your vtec "kick" louder as you so put it, is to buy an aftermarket intake, such as AEM and buy an axle-back exhaust, and suddenly, you will hear vtec. Or, if your super cheap, open the intake box, and cut your exhaust off at the axle back..
