Default Belt squeal?

My 97 GSR started squealing everytime I start the car. Not sure if its a belt or something but taht's my guess. It's only when I start the car and about 10-20 seconds after. There's no sound when I'm driving.

yes, its one of your drive belts.

My car squealed when my alternator belt was loose.

Good luck.

Buy a smaller belt.

Spray the belt with belt dressing to see what it is. Is it just me, or is this something very stupid to post about?

Nahh its not that stupid. Some people just dont know... and thats why he asked. just check them out...I believe theres a tensioner on the power steering belt....you should just be able to loosen the two bolts on the lower part of the unit by the block of your motor and tighten it with the wingnut thats on the top of the unit. good luck!

make sure to check the alternator belt. you can adjust the tension by loosening the adjusting bolt and pulling on the alt. towards the friewall, then tighten.
