removing third brake light panel
i am gettign my windows tinted and would like to remove my third brake light for the tint. i will put it back in, but i really think it looks like garbage when tinters just cut out around that light. if you know how to remove the rear deck panel please post up.
on my car, i had to unbolt my back seat to get the side panels off, then unbolted the car seat brackets, and it just pops up from there.

Yep, 6th gens require a lot of work to get that piece out because it's a part of the rear deck cover.
Oh, and OP, if it's laser cut tint, it might cut out the third brake light section automatically.

You have to remove at least the upper sections of the rear seats and then remove the side panels. I can't recall 100% what other parts that means you have to remove, but I'm thinking maybe front seatbelts.
I remember it being a huge pain in the ***. I still have a lose clip in my rear deck and I just haven't gotten to it because it's such a pain to get to it and then get everything back in place.
You have to remove the lock cylinder parts for the rear seats too. Mine currently doesn't work because of that. It's just locked in place from inside now. It's not put together properly and I'm going to have to take it apart to see how (IF) I can fix it to work properly.
