1990 Accord died yesterday
I own a 1990 Honda accord a/t. For about two months the car has had trouble starting. The car would crank just fine but after about 4 seconds of cranking the "S" light would begin blinking (indicating a problem with the transmission.) I could get it to start by putting the car in neutral, moving the car backwards a little, and then putting it back into park and having another go at trying to start it. The problem has been happening more and more consistently until yesterday when I could not get it to start after about 20 min of trying. A friend mentioned to me something about a relay switch that might need to get replaced. Any help would be appreciated.
if the engine is turning over while in park, your sensors soould be fine. first thing first, check fuel, check spark. MAYBE YOUR BATTERY IS DEAD....LOLZ J/K GL
Are the dashlights(cluster) coming on when you try to start it? My ignition switch just went out last week. The car got worse as the days went on then I tried to start it and it wouldn't do anything. replaced the switch and it's good to go...Literally.
