throw me a few estimates
a friend got hit yesterday.
adjuster said either he can take it to a shop (he is new to the area, so he doesnt trust anyone yet) or they can settle.
let me know what you guys think.
i figured around $3000 or so. he doesnt want to go the bondo route (i dont blame him).
he says he can hear wind noise from the door and its a change in tension when opening the door. the rim also got him. he said the adjuster has been pretty nice, he was suppose to come yesterday but he didnt have time.
i guess the pics dont work. try this link

I hope you know someone that does body work.
Looks like you will need a new rear quarter panel to be cut and welded in.
If he has full coverage pay the deductable and get it fixed.
If he doesnt have insurance coverage, cut, weld, refinish, paint... eh... 3,000-5,000 depending on where you go.

A decent body shop can pound that out no problem. Theres a lot of open space behind that interior panel so getting in there with a hammer and an anvil shouldnt be too hard for a good body man. Id say 1500-2000 tops with blending the back half of the quarter panel and the front half of the door.

3 g's????? no wayyy 1500 tops, unless your going to some guy who usually rips people off... at the end of the day the insurance is paying for it, so get it fixed anywhere even if its 20 g's to fix the insurance has to pay it so might as well get quality!

btw, the car belongs to r01516.
yeah, adjuster was going to give him like $1800. or he could have it taken to dealer to fix.
closest dealer is a little over an hour away.
