are you filling in the whole indent? or just the holes where the molding inserts go?

you can't fill the whole thing with body filler. This my not be the best way, but fiber glass and then spray some foam in side. then body filler over to smooth.

cut a piece of sheet metal to the right size. then weld it in. and so on and so on.

so i tried to take off the bondo i already filled in on my fender so i could use sheet metal, and it wouldnt come out for ****. i even tried breaking it up with a hammer. it only dented the bondo. i think ill just fill all the moulding indents with bondo. its pretty tuff stuff

Until a larger vibration breaks it free from the metal surface, and you get a large painted chunk of it to either crack or break off.

or moisture gets in between the metal and the bondo and cracks it from inside out thats why im aganced people putting bondo in honda cancer the only product that i would even recomend to use if your dead set on doing this would be duraglass its fiber glass based and would last allot longer than bondo as long as you preped it correctly meaning ground down to bare metal
