My car wont stay on when the engine check light comes on. I checked the code and it was CEL 16... the car will stay on and drive and then sputters when the engine check light comes on. Then the car would crank but not hold idle. And when it does hold idle the car is in limp mode and will can only rev to 3500 rpm.. Where should i start with this? oh btw its an 88 civic hatch with a JDM b20 swap.. the car has been coverted to obd1 dash harness connected an obd2 engine harness

 

Make sure you have the right injectors

 

im sure its the right injectors because it started up fine before and it just started now..can it be my injectors are going bad? or is something wrong with the wiring?

 

I just had a code 16 and I switched out the main relay and bolted it to the frame. No more code

what do u mean u bolted onto the frame? meaning u grounded the main relay to the frame?

 

Oops not main relay. I switched out the resistor box

 

where is the resistor box?

 

its on the top right of the bay. Its to the right of the brake booster.
