valve to piston d16a6/y8head, stage 2 cams, possibly have to mill head
Ok here's the deal. I am new to engine building but have plenty of experience working on cars. The problem at working at a dealership is that they rarely get into what my problem is so here it goes...
I am building a d16a6 with y8 head. I have the head almost done porting (myself). I have bought stage 2 crower cams, forged pistons and rods . I am worried about my valve to piston clearance and even worse I might have to have the head milled. I received the bare head for free but it had been laying around and antifreeze left some pitting on the surface of the head. So I am potentially looking at have some serious problems from what I gather about this engine combo. I hate to have someone else build my engine but I'm really worried about catastrophic failure!
