I drive a 1996 Civic Dx Hatchback. and my smog date is due pretty soon. The car is on a straight pipe. I know ill need a cat to pass emission. Are EX/SI cats interchangeable with DX cats? Would a magnaflow universal cat pass me? OR should i just pay off a shop?

 

as long as it's obd2 the cat is usable. as far as bolting on i am not sure. most hi flow cats reduce more emission due to more surface area. why are you posting in this section anyways?
