neilscivic's CTR K20 build
Hey guys, i've owned this ek for about 2 years now. Bought it completely stock from an asian fellow that bought it new from honda.
First week i had it, i started buying stuff. I kept the D for about 2 months before i cracked the exhaust manifold and gave up on that slow *** motor. So i bought a 99' B18b1 motor and a gsr tranny in plans to boost it. I think it was early august of 06 that i swapped the b18b1 boost in the car. and drove it for a month before parking it for winter.
Over winter, bought a fresher block and a new turbo. also bought some recaro knock-offs and a carbon hood. Then last summer i went thru another b18b1. Then i wanted a change, so i put together a ls/vtec with a semi built gsr head. That motor prolly ran for two days before a spun the rod. lol
Then i fully built a b16 bottom head with the same gsr head with more mods. Motor ran solid for a month before a dropped a valve. So, by this time i was running out of motivation, so i parked it for the winter.
November of 2007 came, and i decided to do a k20 swap. Bought all the parts over the winter, and send the shell out for paint in the spring.
the first week the car was bought, HID's, heliums and fogs were bought

the slow *** D out

B18b1 with garrett t3/t4 installed

At the JDM-R meet last season

Last season: 2 x B18b1 turbo setups (blown), 1 x LS/Vtec <- Lasted one day, 1 x Properly built b16 <- dropped a valve
This Season:
Stripping the interior

Gay *** dynamat, hard **** to get out

many hours later, dynamat out

going for paint

some new parts:

Sanded and ready for paint

Painted! Champ White

i didn't paint the engine bay, and my painter just got lazy i guess. i do have the 1" itr brake booster which i will change to. but im not happy with the engine bay, so im going to repaint and do a full wire tuck this winter.
