What are the details of your ticket? What engine do you have in it? Why will it not pass emissions or a referee test?

Its not that hard... My buddy and I did the swap ourselves. I took my 95 CX hatch to the ref at the College of Alameda with a B18C1 engine in it. It had an AEM CAI, a Comptech header and RS-R ExMag exhaust and it passed visual and emissions no problem... Why is it so hard?

they want me to remove the fuel pressure regulator gauge.
the ticket says, VC 27156B - Smog Devide - Not equppied, disconnected or modified.
they are sending to state ref, but the state ref is down for who knows how long.
Idk what they're going to tell me at court. I have court on the 9th of Sept.
its a B18C1 with dc headers and aem intake, which both have the carb leagal stickers on them, the only thing that im worried is that I dont have catalytic converter and the ecu is is a P28.
and another thing, the engine is a 94, someone told me to get a hold of a 99 or 2000 P72 ecu and get a cat and i should be fine.

I cant believe they cited you for the FPR gauge and didnt notice the engine. Actually I cant believe they cited you for the gauge period. Are you from Norcal or Socal? If its Norcal Im betting you got pulled over in Fremont, Union City or Newark... If I am wrong where did you get ticketed?
Do you know where Bakersfield is located? well 30 mins north of it.
Yeah the CHP was looking all around my engine bay, and then he looked at the fpr gauge and said, "you know you're not supposed to have any gauges under the hood, that is illegal, I'm going to have to write you up for that."
and that was the end of that story, state ref'd.

So like Wasco, McFarland, Delano?
Id like to know where his argument for no gauges under the hood comes from. The FPR is technically illegal and the engine swap is too, but his reasoning for issuing that cite is ridiculous IMO... It only refers to smog devices in the code and a "gauge" is not technically a "smog device". Have you attempted to contact a ref? I know they are shut down but have they given you any sort of time frame as to when they will re-open?

yeah around that area, i've tried contacting the 1-800-622-7733 number, and it says that they are currently closed due to the states budget.
i hope they stay closed forever and the judge can just drop my ticket. :D
