Default My DC2 project of the day.

Little history on the car, got it for free from my brother-in-law. There is no plans on fixing the car up anytime soon, I added little things here and there but thats it. I got bored today and decided I wanted a color change on the rota slips. So here is my DIY wheel painting. I only did two wheels cause its hot as hell right now. I'll finish the other two tomorrow. Enjoy and let me know what you guys think.

UPDATE!!!!DAY 2!!!

So I got up this morning at 6am cause I was gonna go for a jog before it got hot, but I fell back to sleep. Woke up again at 8am and decided to get started on the last two rims. I was in the process of sanding when I received a phone call from a possible new employer for an interview, so I put everything back together and showered up and went to the interview. I think I got the job. Anyways back to the rims, I finished them and I got to say, these 2 look awesome!! Here are the pictures.

it was bronze, and i was bored. I think white goes good with the blue. I'm thinking about adding a touch of red around the lip, cause its too white, very bland. Gonna pick up red pin stripe from pepboys and break up that white.

It looks good, much better But i think that red lip idea would ruin the look..

You think so? I was just gonna do like a thin line. Well, i'll try it out and if i dont like it i can just take it off since its a sticker pen stripe.

I have no idea what the color of the car is, but the front end, i rattle canned it with something close to the color. It had an awful front bumper kit and z3 fenders. I plan on getting the JDM front end, but thats gonna be awhile. I really don't want to dump any money into this car. I already have my toy, R1, this is just my daily.

whoa, your crazy son!!! it was triple digits yesterday!! And you don't have a garage to do this in?!?!?! where in norcal u at?

the white looks good on the blue and the THIN red line might actually add some appeal .. i agree on the "bland" but even if you didn't do it, still looks good

I just moved out of Stockton two weeks ago, now I'm back up in Chico. Once I came back up here, my insurance bill pretty much was cut in half, haha.

White sure does look better, I took another look at the rims this morning and they came out good, some imperfections here and there, but i'll get the next 2 pretty close to perfect.

This is my first time painting rims, and I got to say, it was pretty easy to do, its just the waiting part that i hate.
