Default Anyone with JDM power folding mirrors? simple question....

I have a set of power folding mirrors that I need to ship in a box. It would help if I could fold them, but I'm afraid to mess up the motor.

Anyone know if you can manually fold these mirrors without screwing up the motor?

yeah, it shouldn't hurt to fold them without the power. I've folded mine like that a bunch of times ( for being a lazy *** and not wanting to get in my car). They still work fine. Don't let the noise they make when you do it freak you out. It's a pretty loud snap.

But like the person above me said, u can just connect then to a 12V and a ground and fold em im, assuming you have the relay and switch.

I've never tried to do it with mine. I don't feel like braking them. Just ship them they way they are.

Thanks for the input guys.

Hey AWD Terror, I was in Pittsburgh just last week. It's an awsome city but I was surprised by the lack of cars. Coming from Cali, it's a huge difference. Loved it out there though, cant wait to go back.

I've never been there, but there is a bunch of ricers around here. I love to see their faces when they find out my car isn't stock.
